3-day advanced image analysis course has completed in Turku, Finland at the end of November. This course was organized by the Finnish Advanced Light Microscopy Node manager, Gleb Grebnev, and featured a series of advanced image analysis topics including ImageJ macro programming, batch processing, segmentation, and co-localization.

Ignacio Arganda-Carreras, a NEUBIAS instructor, is teaching advanced image analysis concepts to the participants of the course organized by the Finnish Advanced Light Microscopy Node.

A number of leading instructors participated in this course including Ignacio Arganda-Carreras who regularly teaches at NEUBIAS training schools, Pasi Kankaanpää who is heavily involved in bioimage informatics activities in Finland, Elnaz Fazeli, an image analysis aficionado and university teacher, and Guillaume Jacquemet, a group leader at Åbo Akademi University who frequently uses image analysis in his own work.

Following the recieved feedback and considering the large interest in bioimage informatics especially image analysis, we plan to further focus on the topic of image analysis by organizing more courses in 2020.
